Online MLM Business - Web Promotion That Works By Gavin Evans
The aim of this article is to show how using some recognised traffic generation methods and a consistent and regimented weekly work routine, can bring a constant and ever growing flow of organic (free) traffic to your online MLM business.
I first became involved in the online business world five years ago, when I joined my first internet based home business. Like many newcomers, I had high hopes of making big bucks in a relatively short space of time. I started to attend the usual networking presentations and meetings to try and get my business off to a flying start. There were two questions I always wanted to have answered. How did the top networking leaders within my company get to where they are and what was their secret?
At the start of my online experience I was a long way from being internet savvy. It took me two and a half years of going absolutely nowhere, to realise that it was imperative to have an online presence at the very least if I was to tur! n what I had into a successful online MLM business. Besides, my dreams of being financially secure were still far from being realised. I knew very little at this time about websites and what went into creating them, so I did some research. I found a company who on the face of it looked very professional, had some top clients on their books and gave me the impression that they would not only build a stunning website for me but would also optimize the site for the benefits of the search engines; a practice otherwise known as search engine optimization (SEO). I parted with a considerable sum of money and then sat back and waited for this influx of visitors to my business.
This traffic never arrived and I found myself out of pocket and right back at the beginning. I then decided that it was really time to get to work, so I started to learn about website development and SEO. The basic principle I discovered, was to firstly do some research on appropriate and profitable ! keywords around which to base the content of each web page. By! profita ble, I mean words that have a good monthly search volume but relatively few other web pages on the internet containing these words / phrases. Finding and refining this batch of quality keywords quite simply leads to your site being positioned higher on the search engines. Just weeks after publishing my first website, I began to find it by searching Google with the keywords that I used to build the pages in the first place. At first, there was just a trickle of visitors but as I continued to add new content rich, keyword focussed pages, this traffic gradually increased.
My SEO research taught me that another essential tool in website development is building links to your website from other sources. I now use three methods of linking to my site which have dramatically increased my visitor numbers. I submit my site to web directories and social book marking sites on a weekly basis. The method of linking which has given me the most significant increase in traffic, coupl! ed with improved search engine ranking, is article marketing. I write informative articles based on the topic of my online MLM business, which I then submit to a selection of the best article directories on the web. I select what I deem to be the best directories based on their Google page rank and Alex.com traffic ranking. All these articles then contain a link directly back to my website.

The Security Illusion By Jeff Furgeson
To judge from what we see all around us, one of a person's most basic desires is to achieve a sense of security. We want to be assured that tomorrow will be at least "as good," but preferably "better" than today.
When you Google "security," the emphasis is protection. Personal protection, data protection, identity protection, we are constantly bombarded with information about the threats around us and how to protect ourselves from these threats. We are so caught up in our fears, we have little time to enjoy our life, so we seek "security."
But is there such a thing as "security" or is it just another illusion laid out for us by society and government to get our eye off the real prize? We are controlled and prodded into being good little sheep, going daily to our little cube, returning home to our little house, thanking our lucky stars when we get a break from the routine of life with a weekend, holiday or vacation.
And what is our reward for bein! g the good little sheep? Enough to keep us fed and watered and clothed, with a little left over for entertainment. Is that really worth the "security" we receive from the system?
What will happen to us if we push against the sides of this coffin that has been laid out for us? What will occur when we seek another path, seek to be the billy goat in society, asking questions of the governors and rulers, seeking a better path to the future?
Of course, the "security" promised does not preclude obstacles from coming into our life. In fact, "security" would seem to really have little impact on what is going to come about in our lives. "Life Happens." One thing I can guarantee is there will be obstacles.
Let's look at a better pattern.
1. Have a vision. If you don't know where you are going, you surely won't get there.
2. Have plans. There are many sayings that go with this so put in your favorite. Also note that plans can be multiple:! one primary plan to get to the vision with some thought out a! lternati ves or contingency plans already in place to assist in step 4 below.
3. Take action. My mentors and coaches are always tasking me to get through the action steps. Adjusting a stationary object is very difficult, it is much easier to get moving and keep moving and then make the corrections necessary to get to the vision.
4. Adjust to the obstacles. Avoid, confront, ignore, whatever. Obstacles WILL occur. It really doesn't matter what your view of the cause of obstacles may be, the one thing for sure is that they will happen and they can provide the most important life lessons. What did you ever learn from an easy success?
The above pattern is cyclical. The vision can morph from time to time as we approach a vision, or can change totally as one vision is reached. And as the vision morphs or changes, the subsequent steps may be impacted and adjusted as well.
Studies have shown that the top 5 percent have written goals and plans to achieve th! e goals. Hmmmm!
Of course that also means that there is a strong correlation between not having goals and plans and failure to achieve success and prosperity!! Ouch!!
There is no better way to achieve the security we seek than to take charge of our own vision, establish our own plan, execute the action necessary and adjust to the obstacles encountered. Expecting security from external sources is an interesting phenomenon of the enlightened progressive movement we are constantly exposed to and controlled by.
"The Safety Net provided for us to fall into in times of trial will protect you" is the promise we are given. And that is the illusion that is bankrupting us all!

Home Work Jobs-Where Do You Find Them? By Herbert Davies
All you have to do is search the words home work jobs in your favorite search engine to realize how hard it is to find them. What you end up finding are websites that say avoid scams, earn $200 a day, earn $50-$75 an hour, and so on.
So what does it all mean? Where are all the work at home jobs?
2 websites I have come across that are legitimate are:
1. Tjobs.com
2. Wahm.com/jobs.html
I would venture to say that 90% of the work at home job websites are just websites trying to sell you information. What happens is people in desperate situations will break down and spend their last $50 to buy a book that shows them how to do data entry at home, or type at home.
What you end up with is a book that sends you on a wild goose chase producing very little results that you can actually use to work at home.
Realistically there are all kinds of home work jobs that you can do. Here's a short list: website design, ghost writer! , graphic design, customer service, sales, software design, telemarketing, and so on. It's not that there are not jobs you can do from home. It is just that finding the employers is difficult.
If you have desired skills, you are better off to email your resume to every company within 25 miles of where you live. Then pick up the phone and call the ones you would really like to work for.
It is becoming more commonplace for companies to ask their employees to work at home. Many times this is on a commission basis. You get to stay at home and work, the companies pay you for the work that you do, and it is a win-win situation.
The real savings to many businesses are that they no longer have to pay for your benefits like vacation days, retirement plan, and so on. The real benefit to you is you no longer have to get in your car and drive to work every day.
One other home work job you should not discount is starting your own home business combini! ng the Internet with affiliate marketing and blogging. This is! a great way for you to control your own time and start your own business.
Although you are not guaranteed any specific income at first, you can develop this into the most desirable and profitable work you will ever do at home.
In summary, do not pay any for a list of employers looking to hirer workers. Contact businesses in your area by picking up the phone and calling them. How Do We Manage Ourselves in Time, in Free Enterprise? By Barbara Delville
It takes a concerted effort to manage yourself in time - you have to always be thinking to yourself: How do I turn my time into money? What do I do to improve my use of time?
Turning time into money begins with investing some time into thoughtful planning. Over and over I ask what people's goals and dreams are - the standard knee jerk reaction is to 'earn a six figure income' and 'create more freedom'. How do you turn time and energy into action to produce the results of your goals? What does it take to meet these large goals? What is your plan?
It's OK to think big, but you have to do big. How will you manage your time to meet these goals? What does it take in time and energy to achieve six figures or $250K a year?
Once again, it all goes back to the basics. In direct sales, network marketing or internet marketing it is learning how to prospect and to sort through the numbers to find the key players you are looking for.
Most people don't ! have a clue of how to plan of how to get from point A to Z. Then they don't factor in how much time it takes to get a return on time investment and the energy it will take to produce the results they are looking to create. Most people spend their time 'getting ready to get ready' and procrastinating their life away.
I see people who think they are full time in their enterprise and actually are spare time. They may even quit their jobs to live their dream through the vehicle of free enterprise. I've seen people who couldn't wait to quit their jobs to go full time. Then they actually do quit. Then they devote less time to full time than they did part time, and it's always fear of the old tapes, the old self sabotage that keeps them from taking the proper action required to create the compounding effect.
You have to learn how to plan to succeed, not plan to fail. The old adage still applies: "When you fail to plan, you're planning to fail."
Here are! some questions to ask yourself when establishing plans:
o M arketing: Who are your potential customers who could benefit from your products, your services, your leadership, your company and your wisdom? o Who do I desire to attract? o What are the qualities of that person? o How many new customers and distributors do you plan to enroll on a monthly average basis for the next two years? o Training: What kind of training will you provide? Your company's and your own? o Do you have a 3-way calling list? o Are you introducing people into your team? o Are you providing the books, tapes, coaching, etc.? o Do you have a training system that is simple and easy? o Are you a leader? o Are you teaching people how to use a very simple system? o Or, are you creating your own? o Leads: if you don't have people to talk to you are out of business and you will definitely be 'getting ready to get ready' o What is your advertising budget for the next 90 days? Six months? o Are you in a no budget situation? A mid-budget situation? A make it happen situa! tion? o Are you using newspapers, warm market, cold market, internet leads, magazines, post cards? o Are you writing your own ads? How do you learn to do copywriting? Are you figuring it out? Are you looking in magazines, e.g. USA Today? Are you seeing what other people are doing? o Are you creating leads through the Chamber of Commerce, leads clubs, etc.? o Tools: What tools are you using when it comes to marketing? o What tools are you using when it comes to prospecting? o There are great new telephone headsets, computers, voicemail blasts, fax on demand, digital cameras, printers, laptops to utilize as time savers o Do you have a secretary or assistant if you can afford that? o Are you using cell phones, emails, etc.?

If you want to open your own restaurant then you need to decide what type of restaurant you want to open. One of the many choices you have to make is whether you decide to open a small restaurant or a large restaurant. While both types of restaurants have their advantages and disadvantages, starting a small restaurant may just be the best choice for you to begin with.

Another positive about starting small is that many operational things are simpler because you are planning things on a smaller scale. However, don't make the mistake of thinking that starting a small restaurant is vastly easier than a large one.
One problem you will face with a small restaurant is that it will be tougher to make money! . It has been proven time and time again that most people like to eat in a restaurant where there are many people eating. With a smaller restaurant you will turn some people off just because your establishment won't seem like a popular place. Also, a smaller restaurant will mean a smaller marketing budget so you'll have more trouble attracting more customers.
Of course in the end a small restaurant will mean fewer tables to fill so you won't necessarily need to have a lot of marketing. So there is a positive side and a negative side to starting a small restaurant.
Again, you don't want to underestimate the amount of work that is involved with owning your own small restaurant. And you still want to make sure you get the help you need. Did you take some time this past week to think about your resolutions for 2008?
Resolutions create energy and promise. However, if we just have a list of goals and "things" we would like to accomplish with no "action plan", those under- achieved resolutions can end up making us downright depressed!

Using Viral Marketing to Propel Your Online Business By Davin Ogden
As far as I'm concerned personally, any chance you have to get traffic virally, build your list virally, or distribute an ebook or software which can have viral elements you should be doing it.
The most popular and famous example of viral marketing was Hotmail. By placing a link at the bottom of their emails for anybody else to get their program created an overnight phenomenon. Day after day, there were thousands of more people signing up for Hotmail accounts. I don't know what the count is these days but it's in the millions. And the rights to Hotmail was sold for millions of dollars.
Recently, I visited a blog by a very good blogger named Jay. Jay was saying on his site, that he didn't use viral link cloakers and was also explaining why he didn't use them. Some of his reasoning was that, with many viral link cloakers they have a portion of the program that does build a list inside the site for you. Jay was stating that that sort of list that is in! side a viral cloaking site isn't really targeted at all. And you know what? He's right! He's right because many of the people that may be in your downline may not be in your niche at all. These people signed up through your reference to the site perhaps, but, I'm sure many of them did it for their own reasons of building their business, but they might be in the "no smoking" niche for all we know. Why would they want to receive emails from another guy that would perhaps be in the "food" niche etc.
I replied to Jay's post because I knew that the method I'm using viral link cloaking for is entirely different. I told Jay that, for one, I have never emailed my downline in a viral link cloaking and tracking site. The reason I use viral link cloakers is because it gets my ads shown on hundreds of other sites. When my ads are clicked they are interested in the headline of my ad, then taken to a squeeze page of one of my free reports and then people opt-in to my real li! st! Jay agreed, stating that, yes, I can see if you use them t! hat way it would benefit you. And it does! I enjoy new signups for my list everyday because of this method.
Most readers of my blog know I'm a huge advocate for Viral Spiral. Heck, I must be, I liked the program so much I jumped at the chance to work for Tim Brocklehurst. Not only did I love the system he created, but it also meant I could learn a thing or two from one of the people I considered a heavy influence on me. I'm actually learning a lot from him without even asking much of the time. So it worked out real great!
The type of list you build inside a Viral Spiral site isn't the type that you build inside one of these viral link cloaking systems either. It is targeted to people in your niche. Why? Well, it's because you supply all of the members of your site with your squeeze pages and rebrandable books, so they can build their own lists. By you having control of the squeeze pages and ebooks supplied your guaranteed everybody that joins your site sign! ed up because they were interested in receiving your books, or software etc. So yes, it is targeted, more benefit for you and all of the members building inside your site!
Viral marketing solutions provide a great way of getting a non-stop flow of traffic to your offers. Use the systems consistently and long term and holy crap, in some time your traffic will get amazing.
My solution in using them for list building is pretty straight forward really.
I've been using Viral Link Tracker to drive traffic to ads, which are shown consistently on other peoples sites. The more I use it, the more ads are shown. The more people that use it below me, earns me more ads being shown. So guess what is in my ads? These ads are all pointing towards my squeeze pages. So using these ads across a huge network is building my list for me!
I also did upgrade my membership with Viral Link Tracker because it will allow me to have the power of more levels of! sub-users earning me more ads. It just builds bigger, and big! ger, it' s endless....seeing the power yet?
One of the last viral strategies that has to be mentioned is viral software.
I remember a while back Ewen Chia came out with My Free Website Builder. My Free Website Builder is basically NVU. But Ewen, in his ingenuity, came up with the idea to create a bit of a different interface for it with links pointing to his websites or different programs that he has developed and what not. He sent it out to his thousands of subscribers for free, and gave everybody permission to give it to all of their friends too. Hmmm, now why would he do that?
Well, viral, viral, viral.... every time somebody gives it away with his links in it, he's getting traffic from all of those people, and then from all of the people that they give it to, and so on, and so on....once again endlessly!
I recently came across one such softwares that allowed me to rebrand it with any links I wanted.

These people signed up through your reference to the site perhaps, but, I'm sure many of them did it for their own reasons of building their business, but they might be in the "no smoking" niche for all we know. Why would they want to receive emails from another guy that would perhaps be in the "food" niche etc.
I replied to Jay's post because I knew that the method I'm using viral link cloaking for is entirely different. I told Jay that, for one, I have never emailed my downline in a viral link cloaking and tracking site. The reason I use viral link cloakers is because it gets my ads shown on hundreds of other sites. When my ads are clicked they are interested in the headline of my ad, then taken to a squeeze page of one of my free reports and then people opt-in to my real li! st! Jay agreed, stating that, yes, I can see if you use them t! hat way it would benefit you. And it does! I enjoy new signups for my list everyday because of this method.
Most readers of my blog know I'm a huge advocate for Viral Spiral. Heck, I must be, I liked the program so much I jumped at the chance to work for Tim Brocklehurst. Not only did I love the system he created, but it also meant I could learn a thing or two from one of the people I considered a heavy influence on me. I'm actually learning a lot from him without even asking much of the time. So it worked out real great!

If you don't take care of it and do the necessary things that you ! need to be doing on a daily basis, then you will probably come across failure. You don't want that.
